Manufacturing OT Manager
Leads the strategy, governance, and support of Rockline's Operational Technology (OT) environment across manufacturing facilities, ensuring industrial systems, plant networks, and connected technologies operate safely, securely, and reliably. This role establishes OT standards, cybersecurity and governance frameworks, manages system lifecycle and risk, and partners with Manufacturing, Information Systems, Engineering, and site leadership to deliver scalable solutions that support business objectives and 24/7 operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead OT Governance, Cybersecurity, and Risk Management

  • Establish enterprise OT standards, cybersecurity controls, access management, risk assessments, and disaster recovery strategies to ensure secure and compliant manufacturing operations.

Define OT Architecture and Technology Strategy

  • Develop and maintain OT architecture standards, network specifications, and technology roadmaps that support current operations and future business needs.

Manage OT Infrastructure Lifecycle and Continuous Improvement

  • Oversee lifecycle planning, obsolescence management, capital forecasting, system performance monitoring, and continuous improvement initiatives to maximize reliability and uptime.

Direct OT Change Management and Operational Support

  • Govern system upgrades, patching, documentation, inventories, support processes, and ownership models to ensure stable and sustainable OT operations.

Provide Cross-Functional Leadership for Manufacturing Technology

  • Partner with Operations, Engineering, IT, and project teams to support capital projects, new equipment implementation, user training, and alignment with business objectives and company values.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Automation, or Control System Engineering, or Computer Science or a comparable field and 5+ years of relevant experience required. An equivalent combination of education and experience can be substituted to satisfy the minimum qualifications.
  • Demonstrated ownership and technical leadership of Operational Technology (OT) systems, including governance, standards development, lifecycle management, and cross-functional coordination.
  • Experience with industrial control systems (ICS), including PLCs and Rockwell/Allen-Bradley control platforms.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing OT network architecture, industrial communication protocols, and infrastructure deployment.
  • Working knowledge of OT cybersecurity principles, risk management, and applicable industry frameworks (ISA/IEC 62443, NIST SP 800-82, ISA-88, and ISA-95).
  • Experience developing and maintaining OT governance processes, including change management, disaster recovery, and backup strategies.
  • Experience designing, implementing, and monitoring OT systems to ensure performance, reliability, and operational continuity.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and develop instrumentation diagrams, network schematics, and technical documentation.
  • Ability to travel 30%-50%

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Rockwell AssetCentre or similar for monitoring, change control, version control, etc.
  • Experience with Bosch, Siemens[PR1.1], and Rockwell OT platforms and applications.
  • Experience with MES, SCADA, and enterprise asset management systems.
  • Experience in high-speed manufacturing environments.
  • Experience with OT governance, change management, disaster recovery, and performance monitoring.
  • Experience developing technical drawings, schematics, and system documentation.
  • Familiarity with industry standards including ISA/IEC 62443, NIST SP 800-82, ISA-88, and ISA-95.
