Job Description

Main Responsibilities

Management and supervision of the manufacturing site in New Jersey, including production, purchasing and inventory control.

Responsible for the definition of processes and organization of the different areas in coordination with its managers.

Responsible for defining and ensuring the manufacturing budget, new projects and improvements.

In coordination with the sales team, responsible for the production planning and needs in terms of staff and materials.

Oversee the staff needs and organization according to the production levels.

Active participation in interdisciplinary teams in charge of new product development, as expert to evaluate the plant's capacity and needs to start the manufacturing of these new products.

Responsible for ensuring the compliance with labor laws, schedules, discipline and health and safety actions in the workshop.

Oversee the purchasing department, ensuring the materials needs in terms of time, quality and cost.

Strive for a culture of continuous improvement, leading the required changes in processes, mentality and staff.

Supervision, training, disciplinary actions and planning of the workers in the plant.

Coordinate all the maintenance activities in the workshop and the offices.

Collaboration with other manufacturing companies of the Group to update procedures, learn and import technologies, take advantage of existing knowledge, etc.

Qualifications

University Degree in Mechanical / Electronic Engineering or similar background.

Consolidated professional with minimum 5 years experience as responsible for a whole operations department, in a local company or Production Manager in a big facility.

Good knowledge of production of technological products with different mechanical and electronic components acquired in any industry with production of different models and short-batch manufacturing.

Highly desirable specialization in plant management, post-graduation to specialize in the management of a production facility

Experienced having production teams under his responsibility, project development, advising on production technologies, import of technologies, analyze investments, control of costs and budgets

Strong knowledge and experience on production of short batches of products with many different components.

Project management to implement lean concepts and new products manufacturing

Experience in the optimization and improvement of efficiency in the manufacturing area, setting procedures and defining processes.

Global vision to coordinate the manufacturing area according to the needs of the rest of activities of the company

Able to start up new projects of product manufacturing and to get involved personally in the improvement of the production facility. 

Good communication skills, engineer thinking but open minded enough to participate in interdisciplinary teams

Able to work with different kind of people, from different cultures and origins.

Good management skills, able to win trust and credibility.Â
