ABOUT THE POSITION

The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing projects within the decided-upon budget, timeline, and scope. They will also effectively monitor and present project updates to relevant stakeholders, clients, or project team members.

LOCATION: This is an onsite position at our Astec-Jerome Avenue facility in Chattanooga, TN

 

NOTE: This position is not an IT Project Manager role.  Projects are focused on manufacturing equipment, automation, capacity and efficiency.

Key Deliverables

·       Develop documentation for processes and procedures for projects.

·       Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility

·       Develop a detailed project plan

·       Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget

·       Ensure resource availability and allocation

·       Communicate, monitor and track progress

 

Key Activities & Responsibilities

·       Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects

·       Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget

·       Developing project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility

·       Ensure resource availability and allocation

·       Develop a detailed project plan to track progress

·       Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs

·       Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques

·       Report and escalate to management as needed

·       Manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders

·       Perform risk management to minimize project risks

·       Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors

·       Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation

 

To be successful in this role, your experience and competencies are:

·       Bachelor's degree or higher or equivalent combination of education and experience and training

·       5+ years of end-to-end project management experience

·       Creative problem-solver

·       Basic financial planning

·       Resource Management

·       Effective team-building expertise

·       Excellent written and verbal communication skills

·       Highly organized with strong attention to detail

·       Experience in a matrix-based, marcom organization preferred

·       Microsoft Outlook expertise

·       Proficiency in Microsoft Suites
