Upstream/AME Manufacturing Manager, NightsWhat you will do

Letโ€™s do this! Letโ€™s change the world! In this vital role you will be responsible for leading a team in production operations on the manufacturing floor including cell culture operations in our flexible manufacturing facility as well as leadership of the Agile Manufacturing Excellence team for this shift, which will operate flexibly across all areas of both AR30 and AR5. This role will leverage continuous improvement, transformative approaches and innovation to drive reliability, efficiency, agility and differentiation. The manager will champion a safe and compliant production environment through structured on floor presence. This position is for the night shift. The shift pattern will be 7PMโ€‘7AM structure with a rotation covering 7 days per week.

Responsibiliteis:
  • Create a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement
  • Oversee right first time on the floor execution of the production plan
  • Deliver strong business results
  • Develop a highโ€‘performing team, build technical and leadership capabilities within the organization to meet current and future business needs
  • Ensure the right people and resources are in place and optimally allocated to achieve results
  • Create an environment that fosters accountability, agility, innovation, continuous improvement, learning and knowledgeโ€‘sharing
  • Ensure effective decisionโ€‘making
  • Oversee manufacturing validation activities

Basic Qualifications
  • High school diploma / GED and 12 years of Manufacturing and Operations experience OR
  • Associateโ€™s degree and 10 years of Manufacturing and Operations experience OR
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree and 5 years of Manufacturing and Operations experience OR
  • Masterโ€™s degree and 3 years of Manufacturing and Operations experience OR
  • Doctorate degree

In addition to meeting at least one of the above requirements, you must have experience directly managing people and/or leadership experience leading teams, projects, programs, or directing the allocation or resources. Your managerial experience may run concurrently with the required technical experience referenced above

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Life Sciences or Engineering
  • Knowledge and experience within a cGMP or other highly regulated environment including a basic understanding of technical elements across engineering, biological or chemical processing
  • Ability to adapt to shifting priorities, remove barriers and provide support where needed
  • Lead with clarity, communicate transparently and build trusting relationships
  • Strong leadership and teambuilding skills (coaching, mentoring, counseling)
  • Experience with Lean Principles and continuous improvement
  • Experience with performance management including conflict resolution and performance reviews
  • Analytical problemโ€‘solving skills
  • Thorough understanding of regulatory requirements
  • Ability to be flexible and manage change
  • Excellent verbal and written communication (technical) skills

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
