Job description

Incodema3D is seeking an AM Inventory Specialist to oversee the complete lifecycle of metal powders and support materials for our additive manufacturing workflows. In this role, you will manage powder inventory, operational consumables, and maintenance parts while ensuring strict material traceability. You will work closely with production, engineering, and quality teams to maintain uninterrupted operations in a compliance-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Powder Lifecycle Management: Receive, log, label, and store incoming metal powder materials (such as titanium, Inconel, and aluminum alloys) according to strict handling protocols.
  • Traceability & Compliance: Maintain complete chain-of-custody records for all powder lots, including certificates of conformance, material test reports, and sieve analysis data.
  • Inventory Tracking: Monitor powder usage, remaining quantities, and reorder points using ERP/MES systems. Collaborate with the finance team for monthly material usage audits.
  • Production Support: Track powder through multiple build cycles. Manage the sieving and refreshing processes to align engineering specs and customer requirements.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure all materials meet ISO 9001/AS9100 standards. Quarantine non-conforming materials and monitor powder specifications like particle size distribution and chemical composition.
  • Consumables & Logistics: Track operational supplies and maintenance consumables. Develop proactive procurement schedules to ensure continuous availability for the manufacturing fleet.
  • Waste & Sustainability: Manage spent or out-of-spec powder according to environmental regulations. Coordinate recycling documentation with waste vendors and identify lean opportunities to reduce waste.

Qualifications
Associate's degree and a minimum of 3 years in a manufacturing environment with extensive inventory management experience. Proficiency using ERP and MES systems for inventory tracking and procurement. Demonstrated mechanical aptitude, strong attention to detail, robust problem-solving skills, and a strong work ethic. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required
