The position will be primarily based in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin at HPE's top HPC factory (High Performance Computer) where we build the world's fastest supercomputers. You will have the opportunity for a flexible work environment and the opportunity for advancement in a variety of functions while working in a one of a kind industry.

In a typical day as a Business Systems Engineer, you would:
  • Responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining methods, operation sequence and processes in the fabrication of parts, components sub-assemblies and final assemblies.

  • As required, maintains records and reporting systems for coordination of manufacturing operations.

  • Manage business configurations for the manufacturing execution system (MES) and ERP System (SAP).

  • Writing business requirement documents for IT to develop and improve our system architecture.

  • Conduct user acceptance testing of all new code developments deploys for accuracy.

  • Enable new products at the manufacturing facility by managing product set ups and virtual/pilot builds.

  • Troubleshoot system issues that arise from operations.

  • Access and pull data from various databases and translate the data to an acceptable form for engineering and business teams to drive improvements.

  • Represent Manufacturing in various related projects and initiatives.

  • Designs portions of engineering solutions, including methods, operation sequences, and processes for the manufacturing of parts, component sub- assemblies, and final assemblies, based on established engineering principles and in accordance with provided specifications and requirements

  • Collaborates and communicates with management, internal, and outsourced manufacturing and development partners regarding process and standards compliance, manufacturing issues, and recommendations for problem resolution for manufacture of existing products.

  • Participates as a member of project team of other manufacturing engineers and internal and outsourced manufacturing partners to develop and execute reliable, cost effective and high quality manufacturing solutions for low to moderately- complex products from new-product introduction through end of lifecycle.

  • Holding a Bachelor's degree in a computer science, information systems or related science, technology, engineering, or mathematics discipline.

  • Knowledgeable about using engineering tools and software to design and automate manufacturing processes.

  • Capable of applying analytical and problem solving skills.

  • Knowledge of database structures and an understanding of coding languages.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English and local language.

  • Ability to effectively communicate manufacturing plans, proposals, and results, and negotiate options.
