Job description

One of our manufacturing clients is seeking an experienced and results-driven Design Engineering Manager to lead engineering operations at their facility in Elgin, IL.

Pay Rate:$140k - $160k

Shift:Days

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the engineering team, providing technical guidance, mentorship, and performance development

  • Oversee engineering projects from concept through implementation, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met

  • Support product design, development, and manufacturing process improvements

  • Collaborate with production, quality, maintenance, and supply chain teams to optimize operations and resolve technical challenges

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, quality, safety, and cost reduction

  • Review and approve engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation

  • Evaluate manufacturing processes and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and reliability

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field

  • 7+ years of engineering experience within a manufacturing environment

  • 3+ years of leadership or management experience overseeing engineering teams
