What You'll Do
  • Plan and coordinate new facilities and equipment construction projects, process and system modifications, and improvements
  • Evaluation of alternatives and economic justification of selected improvement
  • Analyze proposed installations of new facilities and/or equipment
  • Ensure compatibility with existing operations and maximum efficiency
  • Design and/or supervise and coordinate detailed engineering for new construction, process modifications, and facility or equipment improvements
  • Develop construction specifications, bid packages, budget cost estimates, construction schedules, permitting, etc as required to insure completion of projects on time and within budget
  • Coordinate planning, construction, and/or test work activities with operations personnel as applicable
  • Identify areas for improvement or cost reduction in existing processing or material handling methods
  • Coordinate, manage and report annual Capital Expenditure portfolio of projects
  • Act as project manager for special research and development type projects involving new processes or products
  • Provide technical support to production and maintenance on an as needed basis for projects implemented on the local level
  • Develop and manage permitting and engineering documentation archiving

What You'll Need
  • Five years' experience in equipment and/or facilities layout, basic process design, material handling design, or related field
  • Must be willing and able to occasionally travel for short periods of time
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, Auto-CAD (Inventor and 3D modeling are a plus), Adept, SAP PS and Microsoft Project

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering required.
