  • We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manufacturing Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead the design and development of manufacturing processes, ensuring efficient production workflows and high-quality output. This role works closely with production, quality, sales, and customers to ensure products are manufactured safely, efficiently, and to customer requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing engineering, with hands-on experience in designing tooling, fixturing, and process modeling for a variety of fabrication equipment. This is an office-based position typically operating during first shift (7:00 AM to 3:30 PM Monday through Friday); however, flexibility may be required to attend off-site meetings, off-shift meetings, or events.
  • This position is part of the company's engineering succession plan and offers an opportunity for advancement into an Engineering Manager role based on demonstrated technical, leadership, and organizational capabilities.

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design, model, and create detailed prints and fixturing for manufacturing processes.
- Develop and optimize manufacturing workflows for equipment including flat lasers, tube lasers, press brakes, benders, fabricators, 3D lasers, robotic welders, and secondary operations.
- Collaborate with production teams to troubleshoot and improve manufacturing processes.
- Support the design, setup, and calibration of manufacturing equipment to ensure precision and efficiency.
- Conduct process simulations and modeling to validate manufacturing methods.
- Maintain documentation of manufacturing procedures, tooling designs, and process improvements.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, quality, and safety.
- Document process changes, procedures, and specifications accurately and thoroughly.
- Lead root cause analysis and problem solving efforts to ensure manufacturability of products.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIP: Report to the Engineering Manager.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide assistance to new hires and colleagues as potential opportunities arise.
Requirements
EDUCATION: High School Diploma required, Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
Required

  • Experience supporting production environments and implementing process improvements.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing methods, tooling, fixtures, and production processes.
  • Ability to read, create, and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • 3D modeling/CAD experience (Solidworks).
