The Kinetic Group is a world leader in the design, manufacturing, and distribution of small caliber ammunition under the iconic brands B&P, CCI, Federal Premium, Fiocchi, HEVI, Remington and Speer. We have domestic ammunition manufacturing facilities in Minnesota, Idaho, Arkansas, and Missouri, and service law enforcement, government agencies and sporting enthusiasts throughout the world. Today, The Kinetic Group is a part of the Ammo+ division of The Czechoslovak Group (CSG), which holds a diverse portfolio of companies in the defense, security, automotive, aerospace and rail industries.
The Manager of Manufacturing Engineering will lead and manage Manufacturing Engineering for the Ozark operations, driving production excellence through process optimization, technical leadership, and cross-functional collaboration. This role ensures engineering support aligns with business objectives for safety, quality, delivery, cost, and continuous improvement.
Oversee the effectiveness, development, and engagement of the Manufacturing Engineering team while advancing manufacturing capabilities, throughput, and operational efficiency.
This position reports to the Sr. Director Manufacturing Engineering and is based out of our Ozark, Missouri office.
What you'll do:
Leadership & Team Development
  • Lead, develop, and manage a high-performing Manufacturing Engineering team with clear accountability for results
  • Build technical depth through structured training, career pathing, and workforce planning aligned to site and business priorities

Operations Support
  • Provide engineering support to sustain and improve production volume, quality, and cost performance
  • Partner cross-functionally with operations, quality, and maintenance to resolve manufacturing issues and drive durable process improvements
  • Champion design-for-manufacturing principles and assess manufacturability of new and existing products

Continuous Improvement
  • Lead Lean, Six Sigma, and data-driven initiatives to improve throughput, reduce waste, and maximize equipment utilization
  • Establish a culture of structured problem-solving and measurable process discipline across the engineering team

Project & Capital Management
  • Own the site engineering budget and capital investment pipeline
  • Lead equipment, tooling, and facility projects from concept through commissioning and validation
  • Evaluate feasibility, ROI, and risk for new process and equipment investments

Process & Systems
  • Maintain and improve manufacturing documentation including SOPs, tooling standards, and process control records
  • Analyze production flow, layouts, and operational data to identify and implement efficiency improvements
  • Drive standardization of methods and process controls across the facility

Supplier & Technical Support
  • Evaluate supplier capabilities and provide technical directions on sourcing and tooling decisions
  • Serve as a technical resource for supplier qualification and process validation activities

Quality & Compliance
  • Ensure engineering processes and documentation support safety, quality, and regulatory requirements
  • Lead and develop the quality team to sustain performance and meet ISO requirements

What You Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, or related field
  • 5+ years of manufacturing or process engineering experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership role
  • Deep knowledge high-volume manufacturing processes
  • Proficiency with Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies (Green Belt or higher preferred)
  • Proven track record managing capital projects and engineering budgets
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and cross-functional communication skills
  • Ability to lead through influence in a fast-paced, multi-priority environment

Work Environment:
Employee work assignments may include tasks working with and/or exposure to potentially hazardous areas, including flammables and explosives. Safety training is provided to all employees to ensure compliance with company and federal regulations.
Pay Range:
$111,200.00 - $155,800.00
The actual annual salary offered to a candidate will be based on variables including experience, geographic location, education, and skills/achievements, and will be mutually agreed upon at the time of offer.
