Job description

Dedicated Staffing is recruiting for a Direct Hire Manufacturing Engineer opportunity with a well-established St. Louis-area manufacturer. This hands-on engineering role is responsible for improving manufacturing processes, supporting production operations, solving quality issues, and implementing process improvements that drive efficiency and performance.

The ideal candidate will have a strong manufacturing background, excellent problem-solving skills, and experience supporting production in a metal fabrication or industrial manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and improve manufacturing processes and systems
  • Analyze production issues and identify root causes
  • Troubleshoot manufacturing, quality, and process control concerns
  • Recommend and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce waste
  • Support production and maintenance teams with technical expertise
  • Assist with machine setup and production troubleshooting
  • Support resolution of equipment failures and product specification deviations
  • Monitor production parts and processes to ensure compliance with quality standards
  • Maintain process documentation and engineering records
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives throughout the facility

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related discipline
  • 8+ years of manufacturing engineering experience
  • Experience in metal fabrication and welded assemblies preferred
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and process improvement methodologies
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve production and quality issues
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively with production, maintenance, and management teams
