Brief Overview of the Role:

The Manufacturing Engineer role is a newly created position at Ocenco Inc. This position would be reporting to the Engineering Manager. This is an on-site, full-time position at our headquarters in Pleasant Prairie, WI. This position would potentially require both domestic and international travel, approximately five to eight percent (5-8%) of the time.


Job Summary:

The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for designing, maintaining, and optimizing manufacturing tooling, fixtures, and processes to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and ensure product quality. This role supports product development by evaluating manufacturability of new or revised components and assemblies, ensures accurate documentation across engineering systems, and manages the creation and distribution of product information, certificates, and declarations of conformity.

Duties/ Responsibilities:

  • Designs, maintains, and troubleshoots manufacturing tooling, fixtures, and processes.
  • Optimizes manufacturing processes to reduce labor time, scrap, and complexity.
  • Creates, reviews, and maintains Bill of Materials, Drawings, CCIDs, and Work Instructions.
  • Assists in product design and development, considering the feasibility of manufacturing new or revised components and assemblies.
  • Identifies safety hazards located in the manufacturing process.
  • Coordinates with auditors and facilitates auditing of Ocenco Products and the Ocenco Quality System.
  • Corresponds with Notified/Approval Bodies to initiate, renew, and maintain Ocenco Product and Ocenco Quality System approvals.
  • Creates, reviews, and maintains Engineering Information in the ERP system.
  • Creates, reviews, and documents Engineering Change Notices.
  • Maintains Electronic and Hard Copy Document Databases.
  • Creates, maintains, and distributes product information, certificates, and declarations of conformity.
  • Maintains current knowledge of best practices and developments in document management technologies and techniques through participation in professional organizations or conferences, attendance at meetings or workshops, participation in educational programs, and discussions with colleagues.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Engineering Manager.

Education and Experience:

  • At least three years of related experience.
  • Associate or bachelorโ€™s degree in related field preferred.
  • Experience with Engineering Changes, Bill of Materials, and Work Instructions.
  • Basic word processing, spreadsheet, SOLIDWORKS, and AutoCAD knowledge.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent analytical and technical skills.

Physical Requirements:
