Job description

We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to ensure development, optimization, and validation of processes and systems to support the manufacturing scale-up of our cable assemblies.
This position is full-time, onsite, 2nd shift, Monday through Friday.
Key Responsibilities
  • Ensures smooth transfer of products from process engineering builds to production-ready status.
  • Participate in SQCD meetings for all products.
  • Conduct process optimization for efficiency improvements and cost savings.
  • Develop new fixtures and automation as necessary.
  • Conducts root cause failure analysis and corrective actions for production parts.
  • Supports IQ/OQ/PQ as the engineering liaison to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager for all new equipment purchases.
  • Improves manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout.
  • Assures product and process quality by designing testing methods. Establish sampling and quality plans in production as necessary.
  • Provides manufacturing data by calculating production, labor, and material costs.
  • Prepares product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
  • Comply with company regulations.
  • Support sustaining technicians in keeping equipment operational by coordinating maintenance and repair services.
  • Development of training programs on manufacturing processes with the training coordinator as necessary.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops as necessary.
  • Learn all equipment programming languages to support the manufacturing team.

Required Qualifications
  • BS in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or related Engineering field is required.
  • Proven success in generating novel ideas, out-of-the-box thinker, and a true entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Strong communication both verbal and written is required.
  • Proficient in MS Office and SolidWorks.
  • Strong working knowledge and experience in manufacturing processes, process development, and validations.
  • Knowledge of cable termination, heat staking, engraving, and plastics processing equipment preferred.
  • Successful implementation and use of statistical-based quality improvement tools such as design of experiments, Statistical Process Control, and GAGE R&R.
  • Experience in equipment and automation development.
  • Ability to meet ITAR requirements of US Citizenship or US Permanent Residence status.
