Job description

Position: Sanitation Associate
Address: 711 Rivermede Road, Concord, ON
Shift: Saturday and Sunday (7:30 AM to 4:00 PM- subject to change based on business needs)
Job Type: Part-Time

  • $22.36 per hour (After 6 months progression is $22.88 per hour, and a 12-month progression is $24.92)

Hiring Requirements:
As a Sanitation Associate at Bimbo Canada, you will be:
  • Follow and perform the daily and weekly tasks assigned by the Sanitation Supervisor.
  • Help enforce requirement and procedures as instructed by the Sanitation Supervisor. 
  • Understand, and experience preparing and effectively utilizing general sanitation chemicals (Safety Handling, Applications, Dilutions), and equipment cleaning requirements on all lines and general housekeeping. 
  • Ensure all required documentation is completed on timely basis and is accurate. 
  • Utilize and maintain in-house sanitation cleaning equipment (including Foamers, Power washers, Vacuums, Sanitizers, and floor Scrubbers). 
  • Apply knowledge of Health and Safety practices, procedures and principles as well as working knowledge of the OHSA. 
  • Understand, follow and maintain WHMIS procedures and regulations as required. 
  • Understand, follow and maintain all sanitation programs and requirements. 
  • Working knowledge of baking equipment including flour silos and functions. 
  • Occasional lifting greater than 50lbs up to 75lbs. 
  • Occasionally exerting up to 35lb of force or frequently exerting 35lbs, of force. 
  • Ability to work overtime as required.
