Team Leader - Automotive Manufacturing (1st Shift)
Location: Sterling Heights, MI (Near Van Dyke & 18 Mile Road)
Shift: 1st Shift
Pay: $20.00 per hour

Position Summary

We are seeking a motivated and dependable Team Leader to join our automotive manufacturing team in Sterling Heights. This role is responsible for leading a team of production associates, ensuring quality standards are met, maintaining production schedules, and promoting a safe and productive work environment. The ideal candidate has prior manufacturing leadership experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to lead by example on the production floor.

Requirements

Responsibilities
  • Lead, motivate, and support a team of production associates during the shift.
  • Ensure production goals and quality standards are consistently achieved.
  • Monitor workflow and assign tasks to maximize productivity.
  • Train new employees and provide ongoing coaching and support.
  • Promote and enforce all safety policies and procedures.
  • Perform regular quality inspections and address production issues promptly.
  • Coordinate with supervisors and other departments to resolve production concerns.
  • Maintain accurate production and attendance records.
  • Assist with changeovers, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Foster a positive, team-oriented work environment.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience as a Team Leader, Lead, or Supervisor in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Automotive manufacturing experience is highly preferred.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Basic computer and documentation skills.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 40 pounds throughout the shift.
