About the Position

This position will use their skillset to assemble places parts into a fixture and assembles/solders/test components. This hands-on role requires precision, physical stamina, and a strong commitment to safety and quality. You'll contribute directly to ERMCO's mission by ensuring each unit meets our rigorous standards and reflects our core values.

Responsibilities

What you will do

Understand and carry out detailed written/verbal instructions regarding the assembly of specific components for each type of ERMCO manufactured transformer. Ensure safe and proper operation of tools and equipment in the installation of transformer components. Ensure conformity of all components to ERMCO standards. Follow all ERMCO safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications

Necessary Qualifications

  • Communicate and understand written and verbal instructions
  • Use iPad or other electronic communication devices
  • Work in a team environment with open communication and collaboration
  • Use of organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measurements
  • Demonstrate proper lifting techniques
  • Grasp, reach, and handle objects, tools, and materials
  • Use measuring devices such as tap measures, calipers, and micrometers (digital and manual)
  • Use hand/power tools such as cordless drills, air ratchets, wrenches, pliers, and hammers
  • Operate overhead hoists and lift assist equipment
  • Frequent standing and walking
  • Occasional sitting, stooping, reaching, or kneeling
  • 20/40 vision is required with or without the use of corrective glasses and/or contact lens, as well as normal peripheral vision no less than 70, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
  • Must comply with all plant safety policies and procedures and any special department safety rules
  • Must be able to wear all required PPE including, but not limited to safety toe shoes, safety glasses, cut resistant gloves, weld hood and hearing protection

  • 1 year of manufacturing experience
