Position: Manufacturing Manager
Location: Troy, AL
Type: Full-time | On-site
Summary:
Lead manufacturing operations in a high-volume precision CNC machining environment by managing supervisors and production teams. Oversee staffing, training, scheduling, preventive maintenance, and workflow while partnering with Product, Manufacturing, Process, and Lean Engineering to improve safety, quality, delivery (OEE), and cost through continuous improvement and advanced manufacturing technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute plans to achieve annual operational targets (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Budget).
  • Ensure production volume, quality, and on-time delivery goals are met.
  • Plan staffing, develop CNC machining personnel, and lead employee performance and problem resolution.
  • Balance work cell capacity and optimize production flow.
  • Drive cost reduction, waste elimination, and quality improvements through Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Partner with Manufacturing Engineering to implement process, workflow, and capital improvements across operations.
  • Support new product introduction by ensuring manufacturing readiness and successful process implementation.
  • Lead policy deployment for Lean Manufacturing, training, work standards, EH&S, employee relations, and operational performance metrics.
  • Maintain production equipment and facilities for maximum reliability and efficiency.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop team members while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of modern metal cutting, finishing, and assembly techniques.
  • CNC programming and G/M code knowledge (preferred).
  • Proven leadership with the ability to achieve results through teams.
  • Strong planning, project management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Quality-focused with Lean Manufacturing mindset.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Computer proficient.
  • Strong organizational, multitasking, and analytical skills.
