Job description


Production Worker
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
• Package and identify finished product to standard
• Stack empty pallets in automatic pallet distributor
• Place plastic cover over each pallet
• Monitor operation of the automatic shrink-wrap oven and adjust as required
• As required, manually shrink-wrap covers with propane torch
• Organize and maintain loose roll finished product storage area
• Process scrap, repairs and QC rolls
• Splice short rolls of product as required
• Dispose of scrap products or recyclable materials in the correct places
• If required, place product rolls in boxes and stack boxes on pallets
• Occasionally and as required, manually palletize rolls on pallets
• Fill core machine with raw cores, flap paper and glue
• Assist other departments as necessary
• Maintain all work areas clean, tidy and safe
• Drive pallets to the designated location in the storage yard
Minimum Qualifications:
• High school Diploma or GED
• Forklift operation
• Computer literate
Working Conditions and/or Physical Demands:
• This position works 12 hour shifts of 36 hours and 48 hours rotating weeks including
weekends. It will either be day shift or night shift depending upon which shift is assigned.
• The position requires standing, lifting of up to 100 pounds, climbing steps, ladders, and
operating machinery within a Manufacturing Plant environment. Conditions include high
noise levels, temperature variations, dust, odors.
