About this role:
The Manufacturing Engineering Lead Technician supports the maintenance, optimization and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes and equipment at a Carrier manufacturing facility. This hands-on role partners with the engineering team to support tooling, improve lines and troubleshoot processes.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Leads the maintenance, adjustment and fine-tuning of equipment, fixtures and tooling while prioritizing safety.
  • Provides technical support to operations to hold process standards and cycle times.
  • Performs tests, measurements, capability studies and process documentation.
  • Supports process-improvement and problem-solving projects on the floor.
  • Maintains process sheets, work instructions and visual aids.
  • Supports the optimization of production lines.
  • Responsible for data collection, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation.
  • Leads equipment commissioning, startup, and process validation activities.

Required Qualifications:
  • Technical/associate degree.
  • 7+ years of experience as a manufacturing or process technician.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Degree or trade school experience in manufacturing, mechanical, electromechanical or a related field.
  • Hands-on skills installing, setting up and fine-tuning equipment, fixtures and tooling.
  • Ability to read blueprints, process sheets and work instructions.
  • Working knowledge of measurement/inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges).
  • Basic knowledge of Lean tools (5S, standard work) and floor problem-solving.
  • Experience supporting production line optimization and continuous improvement.
  • Knowledge of Lean tools (5S, standard work).
  • Blueprint and process-sheet reading skills.

Pay Range
The annual salary for this position is between $79,000.00 - $158,000.00 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range include, but are not limited to, skills, education, experience, and other unique qualifications of the successful candidate.
Other Compensation
This position may be entitled to short-term cash incentives, subject to plan requirements.
