Job description

Adecco Staffing is recruiting for a Buyer on behalf of our manufacturing client. This role is responsible for purchasing materials, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring inventory is available to support production. The ideal candidate has experience with MRP/ERP systems, purchasing, and supply chain operations in a manufacturing environment.
Pay: $55–$65/hour (based on experience)

Responsibilities
  • Purchase materials to support production and customer demand
  • Create, update, and manage purchase orders
  • Track open orders and resolve late or partial shipments with suppliers
  • Process purchase order changes and maintain accurate MRP/ERP data
  • Resolve receiving and invoice discrepancies with suppliers and internal teams
  • Maintain supplier information, including pricing, lead times, and order quantities
  • Assist with supplier quotes and request-for-proposal (RFP) packages
  • Communicate supply issues that may impact production
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and other purchasing activities as assigned
Qualifications
  • 1–3 years of purchasing, materials, or supply chain experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with MRP/ERP systems required
  • Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • High Mix/Low Volume manufacturing experience preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Accounting, or a related field preferred, or equivalent experience
  • Experience with Lean or Six Sigma is a plus
