Location:       Portsmouth, NH 03801
Duration:       6 Months
Job Type:       Temporary Assignment
Work Type:    Onsite
Shift:               1st Shift - 06:00 AM to 06:00 PM / 12 Hours shift rotating alternate weeks. One week is Monday Tuesday Friday Saturday Sunday, and the next week is Wednesday Thursday.

Summary

The Manufacturing Associate Level I is responsible for the manufacture of therapeutic proteins (API) under cGMP conditions. This role involves executing process recipes, following written procedures (SOPs), monitoring equipment and processes, performing basic laboratory tasks including pH, conductivity, and sampling, and conducting routine sanitization tasks to maintain facility and equipment. Associates are expected to attain a basic understanding of cGMP compliance while training under close supervision and demonstrate aseptic technique in handling products and materials.

Responsibilities

  • Set up, operate equipment, and monitor production processes, including clean-in-place (CIP) and steam-in-place (SIP) operations.
  • Report production activities in written and electronic documents in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Good Documentation Practices (GDPs), and review documentation as appropriate.
  • Attain qualification for all assigned tasks and maintain an individual training plan.
  • Perform basic laboratory tasks, including monitoring pH, conductivity, and testing product samples.
  • Perform material movements and transfer raw materials and chemicals into, out of, and across production areas.
  • Maintain facility and equipment through routine cleaning and sanitization and support 6S programs.
  • Perform administrative tasks, including attending shift exchanges, meetings, sending and receiving emails, and participating in projects.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Accurately and timely complete timesheets.
  • Contribute ideas for cost savings where applicable and handle equipment and materials properly to mitigate potential damage and cost.
  • Adhere to cGMPs at all times during the manufacture of APIs.
  • Own the quality of work delivered and notify responsible management in a timely manner of regulatory inspections, serious GMP deficiencies, process deviations, product defects, and related actions.
  • Follow job safety procedures, attend required health and safety training, proactively promote workplace safety, promptly report actual and potential accidents and injuries, comply with safety policies, and maintain responsibility for personal and team safety.

Required Skills

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a science-related discipline preferred.
  • Entry-level experience (0–4 years).
  • Basic understanding of cGMP compliance.
  • Ability to follow written procedures (SOPs).
  • Ability to perform basic laboratory tasks, including pH, conductivity, and sampling.
  • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Good Documentation Practices (GDPs).
  • Ability to demonstrate aseptic technique in handling products and materials.
  • Proven logic and decision-making abilities.
  • Critical thinking skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
