Schedule: Monday - Thursday, 4:15pm to 2:45 am

Skills & Knowledge Requirements:

  • Will require the ability to follow direct to minimal supervision in a positive team environment.
  • Efficient handling methods for material
  • Ability to use power saws, and nail guns.
  • Willingness to fully understand the Metrie Canada quality standards.
  • Proactive ability to make use of machine down time by supporting the area and the operator.
  • Punctuality and virtually non-existent absenteeism. 
  • Positive desire for continuous improvement.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Have and use the proper tools to meet the specific job requirements.
  • Ensure quality products are being produced and continually reducing fall down material or scrap.
  • Monitor machine operations to ensure product quality and consistency.
  • Inspect finished products to maintain high standards of quality.
  • Maintain accurate production documents and report and discrepancies.
  • Participate in training sessions for new equipment or processes.
  • Communicate with supervisors about equipment performance and issues.
  • Ensure production timelines are met at or below standard cost.
  • Producing products to exact specifications.
  • Stacking lifts with proper spacing and height requirements.
  • Read, understand and follow all Safe Work Practices and Procedures for machinery and equipment.
  • Promotion of teamwork within area and willingness to assist other areas that may be experiencing difficulties while your area is experiencing down time.
  • Cleaning up area of dust and debris.
  • Capable of measuring products according to both the metric and imperial systems. Familiar with conversion between the two systems
  • Able to work in an environment with dust and paint.
  • Able to stand for long periods of time.
