Job description

Job Title: Assembly LeadJob Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Assembly Lead to join our team. This role requires a strong background in mechanical assembly or manufacturing, with proven leadership capabilities. You will be instrumental in guiding and developing team members, ensuring the highest quality and safety standards are met.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and mentor assembly team members, fostering a positive and team-oriented work environment.
  • Plan and prioritize daily production activities to meet schedules and ensure timely delivery.
  • Monitor productivity, quality, and safety performance across the assembly line.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical assembly issues and implement effective corrective actions.
  • Coordinate with engineering, quality, planning, and warehouse teams to resolve production issues.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and quality standards.
  • Maintain accurate production records and communicate status updates to management.
Essential Skills
  • 5+ years of experience in mechanical assembly or manufacturing.
  • At least 2 years of leadership or lead role experience.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting mechanical drawings, blueprints, assembly instructions, and work orders.
  • Experience using hand tools, power tools, torque tools, measuring instruments, and assembly fixtures.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and manufacturing systems (ERP/MRP preferred).
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, 5S, or Six Sigma.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 or other quality management systems.
  • Experience with root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Forklift and overhead crane certification (if applicable).
  • Technical certification in mechanical assembly or industrial maintenance.
  • Experience in a fast-paced production manufacturing environment.
