Job Description:
We are seeking a self-motivated Software Tester in Northern VA to work with Cydecor's MEAD Infrastructure Team. You will work both remotely and on the customer site with other testers and software developers as part of an agile team, to create and test against Acceptance Criteria in user stories. NOTE: Due to the nature of the role and on-site requirements, applicants must possess a current Top-Secret clearance to be considered.
Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Execute UI testing for web-based applications across supported multiple browsers and environments.
  • Validate data integrity, ensuring data is consistent and synchronized across two integrated applications.
  • Verify data display, field validation, error handling, and user feedback messages.
  • Validate UI functionality against user stories, designs, and user workflows.
  • Analyze, create, execute, and maintain UI test cases and document results clearly with minimum guidance.
  • Communicate testing results and document defects including re-test fixes and regression testing.
  • Participate in Agile Ceremonies (scrum, planning, retrospectives, etc.).
  • Perform different test cycles (smoke, functional, regression, integration) across multiple environments.
  • Apply critical thinking and explore edge cases beyond documented test steps.
  • Design, Develop, and maintain automated UI test scripts for web application.
  • Designed and set up UI automation framework from scratch
  • Integrated automation framework with CI/CD pipelines (e.g. GitLab)

Requirements:
  • 8+ years of experience in manual testing.
  • Strong hands-on experience with major testing frameworks including Selenium web driver using Java.
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment.
  • Proven experience developing test cases.
  • Experience testing web-based user interfaces and performing test cycles.
  • Experience validating data integrity between two applications that communicate with each other.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow test cases.

Preferred But Not Required:
  • Experience in using test management tools and GitLab
  • Experience with automated testing.

Security Clearance:
  • DoD Top Secret (TS/SCI with Poly highly preferred).

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Work Schedule:
  • M-F, Hybrid
