Semi-skilled manual work in either building, tree trimming operations, and/or ground maintenance activities. Work is performed under general supervision. Does related work as required.

Routine manual work is responsible for the overall cleaning of parks and other building restrooms. Performs landscape maintenance, operates vehicles, mowers, and other related equipment. Performs other job-related duties as required.

Performs general building maintenance and repairs. Performs safety inspections. Operates cleaning machines, buffer, vacuum cleaner, etc.

Other duties may be required and assigned. 1. Maintain various buildings, grounds and/or parks, cleans, scrapes, paints, etc.

2. May spray grounds with insecticides and herbicides. 3.

May install turf on field, parks and other grounds. Perform litter control functions. 4.

Perform preventative maintenance functions on the vehicles. 5. Make daily written and oral reports.

6. May operate vehicles, mowers and other equipment; tree trimming tools, chain saw, clipper, and bucket truck. 7.

Performs building and ground maintenance activities such as mowing, weeding and general grounds work. FULL PERFORMANCE KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS: Knowledge of landscape maintenance, or tree care and/or turf installation. Knowledge of tools and equipment to do related work.

Ability to perform heavy manual labor under adverse weather conditions. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Ability to complete daily work sheets and/or keep records.

Skill in operation and preventative maintenance of equipment and tools related to the position. Knowledge of building and/or grounds maintenance. Physical condition, strength and agility commensurate with the demands of the position, occasionally under adverse weather conditions.

Maintains buildings, cleans, scrapes, paints and performs litter control functions as required. Minimum Qualifications High school graduation or possession of an acceptable equivalency diploma. One-year experience doing heavy manual labor.

LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS OR REGISTRATIONS: Must possess a valid Florida Driver's License with a good driving record. Knowledge of routine manual work in the cleaning and upkeep of facilities. Knowledge of landscaping and turf maintenance.

Ability to perform heavy manual labor under adverse weather conditions, follow written and oral instructions and complete daily worksheets and/or keep records. Skill in operation of equipment and tools related to the position.
