Home Office Location: Deerfield Beach, FL (Job Sites in Broward and Palm Beach Counties)

Job Type: Full Time, Permanent

Schedule: 8 to 10 Hour Shifts, Monday through Friday with occasional Saturdays

Industry: Underground Utility Construction and Wet Utilities

Pay Scale: $20.00 to $30.00 plus per hour based on experience

Mandatory Credentials: OSHA 10 Hour Safety Certification and 5 plus years verifiable pipe laying experience

Coastal Pipeline, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and self motivated Pipelayer to join our growing team in Deerfield Beach, Florida. This hands on role requires a deep understanding of underground utility installation, including water distribution, sanitary sewer, and storm drainage systems. The ideal candidate has extensive experience working independently, managing tasks proactively, and maintaining high standards of craftsmanship and safety on the jobsite.

Key Responsibilities

  • Pipe Installation Execution: Install water distribution, sanitary sewer, and storm drainage pipes with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Laser and Grade Operations: Perform precise ditch grading and layout using laser levels, grade rods, and elevation verification techniques.
  • Structural Setting: Set manholes and catch basins with proper cement work, invert masonry, and structural finishing.
  • Plan and Blueprint Interpretation: Interpret blueprints, civil construction plans, survey markings, flags, and specifications to ensure accurate pipe alignment and depth.
  • Quality and Safety Assurance: Ensure all installations meet exact project specifications, municipal guidelines, and OSHA safety regulations.
  • Maintenance and Tooling: Maintain field tools and equipment, performing minor on site troubleshooting and repairs when needed.
  • Crew Collaboration: Collaborate with field supervisors and crew members to coordinate efficient daily installation workflows.


What You Need to Succeed (Qualifications)

Required

  • Industry Tenure: Minimum of 5 years of verifiable experience in pipe laying across water, sewer, and drainage utility systems.
  • Safety Credentialing: Active OSHA 10 Hour Safety Certification.
  • Technical Literacy: Complete understanding of survey markings, flags, elevation grades, and plan profiles.
  • Physical Capabilities: Physically capable of lifting 75 plus lbs regularly and working outdoors in all South Florida weather conditions.
  • Task Autonomy: Self starter with the ability to manage tasks independently and meet strict production deadlines.
  • Logistics Infrastructure: Reliable transportation and a valid driver license.
