Job description

  • Supervises and performs the following duties of a small crew

  • Knowledge on how to use the correct tools for various tasks

    • Brush, roller, striping machine, taping and masking equipment, caulk gun, spray equipment, air compressor, hand tools, ladder, scaffolding, etc.

  • Responsible for the application of varnish, polyurethane, primer, paint, caulk and other coatings

  • Mask, protect, and prepare surfaces for coatings

  • Clean and maintain equipment by removing all traces of paint

  • Repair imperfections properly

  • Perform exterior and interior painting of commercial buildings, drywall, steel, equipment, structures, etc.

  • Responsible for keeping the work area clean

  • Responsible for loading, unloading, and preparing, materials and tools

  • Provide quality work and take corrective action for conditions that may affect job quality

  • Responsible for the setup and execution of tasks on scaffolding and ladders

  • Communicate with Superintendents about planning manpower and materials

  • Manage manpower

    • Assign manpower to tasks in groups or teams to complete tasks efficiently

    • Track progress and efficiency of each team

    • Hold each team or group accountable for assigned tasks

    • Make sure they are following safety requirements
