Job description

Reybold is a growing construction and property management company located in Bear, DE. We are currently seeking a Site Construction Superintendent that is diverse in all aspects of Site Construction and management.ย The Site Construction Superintendent is responsible for directing, and controlling assigned projects, including overseeing site project field operations, site safety, productivity, scheduling, and trade contractor and supplier coordination to complete quality products within schedule and budget. This role is responsible for coordinating the performance of supervisors, foreman, and field personnel assigned to projects.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide field leadership and establish and maintain effective and positive project management relationships with and amongst contractors, customers, employees, vendors, and the public.
  • Direct all field crews and personnel to complete quality projects on schedule, within budget, and within scope of plans and specifications.
  • Manage site projects through the inspection and coordinate with proper authorities and inspection agencies.
  • Manage subcontract contracts which verifying subcontractors are compliant with contractual requirements prior to beginning work at the jobsite.
  • Ensure that work conforms to specifications and that construction schedules are adhered to.
  • Aggressively identify and address problems impacting project progress
  • Ensure the procurement of project materials.
  • Coordinate the completion of final punch list; perform punch work as necessary.
  • Watch for and correct all safety hazards at jobsite, report safety incidents.
  • Train and develop employees.
  • Determine work priorities and coordinate work activities.
  • Collaborate with administrators and accountants on the costs and supervision of all work operations.
  • Be involved in the planning stage of scheduled projects including estimating materials and manpower needed for specific jobs
  • Ensure recording of daily logs of work and conditions of job sites.

Education and/or Experience Qualifications

  • Two-year college degree in Construction Management or related field or equivalent experience.
  • Five years of experience in site construction including pipe work, Site grading, lot, paving and concrete work.
  • Five years of supervisory experience
  • Valid Driverโ€™s License
  • Have through knowledge of the General Contract, Sub contracts, contract drawings, and specifications
  • Project Management experience (preferred)

  • Excellent Verbal and Written Communication
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, and scheduling software.
  • Attend to detail when reading plans and job specifications listed on completed sign and sealed plans.

Physical Demands

  • Must be able to work outside 80%-90% of time in all weather.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs and be on your feet 7+ hrs a day.

Work Environment

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Site Construction Superintendents work in nearly all-weather condition, although rain or extremely cold weather can stop some types of construction. Workers often get dirty, greasy, muddy, or dusty. Superintendents are working in locations on large construction projects, such as commercial and residential sites.
