Army aircraft in support of Redstone Test Center flight testing operations. Using your experience in electrical or electronics engineering, you will design and facilitate integration of instrumentation to meet flight test data requirements. What you'll do all day: Provide electronics engineering support for testing and evaluation of projects.

Specify instrumentation needed to support flight testing areas such as avionics, communications, radar, infrared equipment, lasers, navigation equipment, and computer circuitry to obtain and record specified data. Provide electrical drawing, operational analyses, material and manpower requirements, and cost estimates. Advise project personnel on limitation and capabilities of state-of-the-art equipment, proven and theoretical concepts, advantages, disadvantages, risks, compromises, and expectations.

Minimum requirements for this position: Must possess a Bachelor's in Engineering in designated area of specialization (electrical or mechanical desired) or related discipline from an ABET accredited* college/university. 0-3 years of experience with aircraft/aircraft systems testing or design. Demonstrated understanding of electrical design and electrical engineering principles.

Experience in specialized airborne or laboratory instrumentation desired. Basic/Intermediate competency with MS Office, programming, and technical drawings desired. Basic competency with MS Office.

Basic competency with creating and interpreting electrical drawings. Basic competency with creating and interpreting electrical analysis. Knowledge of electronics and electrical engineering as they apply to aviation test and evaluation (0 - 3 years of experience desired).

Configuration management practices. Must be able to obtain and maintain an FAA Class III medical certificate. Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screening.

Must have a valid driver's license. Must be a U.S. Citizen
