Technical Project Manager (Cybersecurity Focus)

Location: North Florida (Relocation Required)

Phoenix Proconnect, in collaboration with our esteemed client, is seeking a highly skilled technical Project Manager with a strong cybersecurity focus to join our growing team. This role is instrumental in driving the successful delivery of projects for our client, requiring expertise in managing projects within the cybersecurity domain. The ideal candidate will possess knowledge or exposure to a range of tools and technologies, including but not limited to Burp Suite Pro, Acunetix, Veracode, SAST & DAST Tools, PlexTrac, Mandiant, Cobalt Strike, Cloud security (AWS / Azure / Oracle), Postman, SmartBear Ready, API and SoapUI, and HashiCorp Vault.

Responsibilities:
  • Project Planning and Coordination: Lead the planning and execution of cybersecurity projects, ensuring alignment with client objectives, timelines, and budget constraints. Utilize expertise in cybersecurity tools and technologies to develop comprehensive project plans and resource allocation strategies.
  • Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, fostering strong relationships and communication channels. Collaborate closely with internal teams, clients, and external partners to ensure alignment of project deliverables with business objectives.
  • Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Conduct thorough risk assessments for cybersecurity projects, identifying potential threats and vulnerabilities. Develop and implement mitigation strategies to minimize risk exposure and ensure the security and integrity of project deliverables.
  • Technical Expertise and Guidance: Provide technical guidance and support to project teams, leveraging expertise in cybersecurity tools and technologies. Facilitate knowledge sharing and skill development to enhance team capabilities and ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Quality Assurance and Compliance: Implement rigorous quality assurance processes to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. Monitor project deliverables for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to cybersecurity best practices.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Certification in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in project management, with a focus on cybersecurity.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity tools and technologies, including Burp Suite Pro, Acunetix, Veracode, SAST & DAST Tools, PlexTrac, Mandiant, Cobalt Strike, Cloud security (AWS / Azure / Oracle), Postman, SmartBear Ready, API, and SoapUI, HashiCorp Vault.
