Are you fluent in both Mandarin and English? Join the Law Office of Kang Chen, PLLC in Houston, TX, as a Bilingual Legal Assistant and be part of a dynamic team! We are looking for a self-motivated individual who will serve as the primary liaison between the firm and Mandarin-speaking clients and between clients and third parties, such as insurance adjusters and medical providers. Other duties will include preparing correspondence, organizing and maintaining client files, and general office administrative duties.
With a salary range of $20 - $25 per hour, you'll play a crucial role in assisting our diverse clientele with their legal needs. If you're an excellent multitasker who thrives in a fast-paced environment, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities
โ€ข Manage office correspondence and administrative tasks such as answering phone calls, communicating with insurance adjusters and medical providers, responding to emails, and reminding the team of upcoming deadlines
โ€ข Screen potential clients and perform client intake
โ€ข Schedule meetings and appointments
โ€ข Assist personal injury clients with vehicle repair and car rental and obtaining medical treatment
โ€ข Work with attorneys and paralegals on client matters at all stages of representation, from client intake to litigation and trial
Qualifications
โ€ข Must be fully bilingual, meaning able to speak, read, and write in both English and Mandarin Chinese
โ€ข Good communication skills are essential for this position
โ€ข Candidate must be highly organized
โ€ข Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines with quick turnaround times
โ€ข Ability to comfortably use all Microsoft Office products
โ€ข Previous experience in a law firm setting performing administrative tasks is preferred but not required
