Job description

SUMMARY OF MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

Own financial reporting, accounting operations, internal controls, and IPO readiness initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Management & Reporting

  • Manage the company's accounting and financial operations, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and compliance with applicable accounting standards and company policies.
  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, management reports, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuringtimelyandaccuratereporting.
  • Monitor company cash flow, working capital, and financial performance, providing recommendations to support strategic decision-making.

Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Develop and manage annual budgets, forecasts, and financial plans in collaboration with department leaders.
  • Analyze variances between actual and budgeted results and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Support executive leadership with financial modeling, profitability analysis, and business planning initiatives.

Internal Controls & Compliance

  • Establish,maintain, and continuously improve internal financial controls, policies, and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with US GAAP, tax regulations, and other applicable financial reporting requirements.
  • Assistin developing financial governance processes to support futureaudit,investor, and public-company requirements.

Audit & Risk Management

  • Coordinate and serve as the primary contact for external auditors, tax advisors, and financial consultants.
  • Prepare schedules, documentation, and supporting analyses for annual audits and regulatory reviews.
  • Identifyfinancial risks and recommend mitigation strategies to strengthen operational and financial controls.

Payroll & Financial Operations

  • Oversee payroll administration and ensureaccurateandtimelypayroll processing in coordination with Human Resources and external payroll providers.
  • Review payroll reconciliations, payroll tax filings, and related compliance requirements.
  • Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, banking relationships, and treasury activities.

Systems & Process Improvement

  • Evaluate and improve accounting systems, financial processes, and reporting tools to increase efficiency and scalability.
  • Support implementation and optimization of ERP, accounting, payroll, and financial reporting systems.
  • Develop documentation and standardized procedures to support organizational growth and operational excellence.

Leadership & Strategic Support

  • Partner with executive leadership to provide financial insights and recommendations that support businessobjectives.
  • Assistwith due diligence, financing activities, acquisitions, and other strategic initiatives asrequired.
  • Support the company's long-term growth strategy, including preparation for enhanced financial reporting, governance, and IPO readiness initiatives.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bilingual in Mandarin Chinese and English (spoken and written).
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Active CPA license
  • 5+ years of progressively responsible experience in accounting, finance, auditing, orfinancial management

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or MBA
  • 8+ years of experience
  • Big 4 public accounting experience
  • IPO, SEC reporting, or public company experience
  • Construction/project accounting experience
  • 7โ€“10+ years accounting/finance experience
