About the Role

The Sales Director is responsible for developing and closing new commercial opportunities across utilities, developers, EPCs, and large C&I customers. This role leads territory strategy, manages complex sales cycles, and partners with solutions engineering and product teams to deliver technically accurate proposals. The ideal candidate brings deep knowledge of renewable energy markets and proven success selling utility-scale energy solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute regional sales strategies to expand adoption of solar, storage, and hybrid systems
  • Manage full-cycle sales including prospecting, discovery, pricing, and contract negotiation
  • Build relationships with utilities, developers, IPPs, EPCs, and C&I buyers
  • Collaborate with engineering and product teams to develop accurate solution designs
  • Lead proposal development, RFP responses, and commercial negotiations
  • Maintain pipeline forecasts and provide regular reporting to leadership
  • Represent the company at industry conferences, customer meetings, and market events
  • Identify new business opportunities and regional growth pathways
Qualifications & Experience
  • 7+ years of sales experience in renewable energy, energy storage, or power systems
  • Strong understanding of utility-scale solar, BESS, and interconnection environments
  • Proven track record managing complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles
  • Experience selling into utilities, developers, or EPCs
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to travel for customer meetings and industry events
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in business, engineering, or related field preferred
