Job description

Robbins Recruiting has partnered with a trusted restoration contractor who has worked with thousands of property owners to restore their windows, roofing, and siding while delivering value, safety & peace of mind. They are headquartered in Eagan, Minnesota. 
 
The Claims Manager is responsible for leading the insurance claims process for residential and multi-family restoration projects, ensuring the Company secures proper coverage and settlement values for the full scope of damage. This role manages claims from initial loss inspection through final settlement and job closure, working directly with insurance carriers, adjusters, estimators, and project teams. The Claims Manager also plays a key leadership role in developing claims strategy, estimating standards, and supplement processes to maximize claim approvals, maintain profitability, and ensure projects move efficiently from inspection to production.
 
Primary Responsibilities:
Claims Management & Settlement
  • Manage the full lifecycle of property insurance claims from initial inspection to final claim settlement
  • Conduct field inspections to determine scope of damage and required repairs
  • Create accurate and comprehensive estimates using Xactimate
  • Develop and submit claim supplements as needed to ensure full project coverage
  • Negotiate directly with insurance adjusters and carriers to secure fair settlements
  • Manage depreciation recovery and final claim documentation
Estimating & Project Financial Alignment
  • Ensure estimates align with actual project costs and target profit margins
  • Work closely with estimating and production teams to confirm accurate project scope
  • Identify missing items, overlooked damage, or coverage opportunities
  • Support the company in maximizing insurance recovery while maintaining ethical claims practices
Claims Strategy & Process Improvement
  • Establish and maintain best practices for claims handling and supplement strategy
  • Identify trends with insurance carriers and adjusters to improve claim outcomes
  • Improve internal claims workflows and documentation processes
  • Maintain organized claim files and ensure proper documentation for every project
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in insurance claims, restoration estimating, or field adjusting
  • Proven experience leading a claims team, including performance management, coaching, and driving consistent, profitable claim outcomes
  • Experience negotiating with insurance carriers and adjusters
  • Experience handling supplements and large loss claims
  • Experience with residential and multi-family property claims preferred
Technical Skills
  • Advanced proficiency in Xactimate (XM8)
  • Strong understanding of property insurance policies and coverage
  • Knowledge of residential construction, exterior systems, and building codes
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and claim documentation systems
