Astrion has an exciting opportunity for a Systems Integration Engineer - Fire Control & Engagement, supporting the Space-Based Interceptor (SBI) program. Be at the cutting edge of national defense. As part of the Golden Dome of America initiative and the Space-Based Interceptor (SBI) program, you will help design, integrate, and validate the systems that form the backbone of America's next-generation missile defense architecture. This is your chance to apply your fire control and engagement expertise to programs that directly shape U.S. and allied security in space and across the globe.

You'll work shoulder-to-shoulder with the brightest minds in defense, contributing to programs that protect millions and define the future of space warfighting.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS
  • 15+ years in fire control systems integration.
  • Master's degree in Engineering, Physics, or related technical field.
  • An active TS/SCI clearance.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS
  • Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and digital engineering environments.
  • Prior support to MDA, USSF, or Army Space & Missile Defense Command programs.
  • Familiarity with wargaming, simulation environments, and kill-web architectures.
  • Strong record of publishing, briefing, or thought leadership in fire control and missile defense communities.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the government program office, providing expert technical guidance on fire control and engagement integration for Space-Based Interceptor and Golden Dome of America programs.
  • Conduct independent technical assessments, trade studies, and analysis of alternatives to inform government decision-making on architectures, algorithms, and engagement strategies.
  • Support requirements development, verification planning, and validation activities, ensuring contractor solutions align with mission needs and government intent.
  • Evaluate contractor design proposals, test plans, and system integration strategies, providing recommendations to reduce risk and improve performance.
  • Facilitate system-of-systems integration across sensors, battle management/C2, and interceptors to ensure seamless end-to-end engagement capability.
  • Participate in wargames, simulations, and technical reviews to assess effectiveness of fire control solutions and provide government leadership with actionable insights.
  • Develop briefings, decision packages, and technical reports to support senior DoD and USSF stakeholders in acquisition and architecture reviews.
  • Monitor contractor performance and identify risks, opportunities, and mitigation strategies to maintain program cost, schedule, and technical objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-agency partners to align architectures, requirements, and test campaigns under the Golden Dome enterprise.
