Lyle Machinery Co. is a heavy equipment dealer in the southeast with 10 locations across MS, AL, LA, FL and TX. We are a family-owned and operated company that performs service and repairs, both on-site and in the field, in addition to the sales, leases and rentals of heavy equipment.
Job Summary:
This position is entry level and will be responsible for washing and detailing all equipment and may be asked to perform additional duties based on their individual skill set.
Duties Include:
• Inspect and document equipment condition upon check-in/out per company standards
• Operate/move equipment into and out of wash rack bay
• Skilled use and maintenance of high-pressure hose to wash heavy equipment and machines
• Wash/clean equipment to the extent required by supervisor in a timely and efficient manner
• Keep machines, equipment, and wash pit area in safe, clean, and orderly condition
• Assist with routine inspections, minor repairs, and general maintenance
• Assist technicians in loading/unloading machines
• Assist all service team members as needed
• Ability to operate equipment or other powered devices as necessary
• All other job duties as assigned by Service Manager
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Experience in heavy equipment or related field a plus
  • Ability to climb, crawl, stand, stoop, kneel, push, pull, and twist
  • Ability to lift and carry 20 lbs, frequently, and up to 50 lbs, occasionally
  • Willingness to work in all weather conditions

This position performs work outside of the facility. As such, employees must be able to work in hot and cold conditions as well as wet and dry. LMC does provide weather appropriate gear for job tasks.
