We are currently seeking a Warehouse Person B to join our team of skilled professionals based at our brand-new Brampton Plant. This state-of-the-art manufacturing plant produces premium asphalt roofing shingles in a high speed, continuous manufacturing process environment.

Position Overview:

Reporting to the Shipping Supervisor, the successful candidate will maintain production and quality by ensuring operation of machinery and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

Safely operate a sit down counter balance forklift while maintaining a valid forklift certification

Must be comfortable working outside in the elements

Communicate with drivers to ensure the accuracy of the load as well as safety requirements for loading/unloading materials

Identify where product is located in the yard and in the warehouse by utilizing the Lot Location system.

Load/unload trucks

Pick and sort stock using a forklift ensuring minimal errors

Assist with inventory counts as required

Guide truck drivers where they need to go in order to safely loaded/unloaded

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED

Must have valid forklift certification class 1 license

Must be able to read a pick list

Must be able to work overtime as necessary, including weekends

Must be able to pass a fit for duty Physical

2 years forklift experience

Previous experience with materials handling & distribution warehouses preferred

Able to work independently as well as part of a team

Good organizational, time management and prioritizing skills

Strong work ethic and positive team attitude

This is a full time non-unionized position.
