Job Overview

Join our dynamic team as a CDL and Non-CDL Owner Operator, where you will take charge of delivering freight efficiently and safely across various routes. Whether you operate your own tractor-trailer or Box Trucks. This role is vital in ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all safety and regulatory standards. This position offers the flexibility to choose routes that suit your schedule, with opportunities to handle refrigerated, flatbed, tanker, or specialized cargo. Responsibilities

  • Safely operate commercial trucks including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, tankers, or refrigerated trailers across over-the-road (OTR) routes.
  • Load and unload freight using manual handling techniques or forklift equipment as needed, ensuring cargo integrity and safety.
  • Navigate routes efficiently using GPS navigation systems to meet delivery schedules while optimizing fuel usage.
  • Comply with all FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration), DOT (Department of Transportation), hazardous materials regulations, and other relevant safety standards.
  • Transport hazardous materials (hazmat) and dangerous goods following strict hazardous materials regulations.
  • Perform routine vehicle inspections before and after trips to ensure truck safety and maintenance needs are addressed promptly.
  • Manage documentation accurately for deliveries, pickups, load manifests, and compliance logs in accordance with logistics cargo handling procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery status, route adjustments, or unforeseen issues during transit.

Qualifications

  • Valid CDL or NON CDL license with appropriate endorsements for the type of cargo transported (e.g., hazmat, tanker).
  • Active Insurance and MC number (open to taking new carriers as well)
  • Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including route driving and delivery driving in various cargo types such as freight, refrigerated goods, or hazardous materials.
  • Familiarity with GPS navigation systems and route planning tools.
  • Ability to handle manual transmission trucks and operate specialized equipment like forklifts when necessary.
  • Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT rules, hazard communication standards, and safety protocols for truck loading/unloading.
  • Strong understanding of logistics cargo handling procedures including flatbed and tanker operations.
  • Excellent driving record with a focus on safety and compliance; previous experience with over-the-road (OTR) routes preferred.
  • Physical ability to load/unload freight manually or with equipment; capable of handling physically demanding tasks associated with truck loading/unloading operations.
  • Able to openly communicate and send documents and photos of pick up and drop off
