Varicent Technical Lead
Location: Remote (Preferred: Phoenix, Raleigh, Dallas)
Contract Duration: 6 Months
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Varicent Technical Lead to support the design, configuration, and optimization of our Incentive Compensation Management (ICM) platform. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in Varicent, hands-on experience with Composer and Reports Studio, and the ability to translate business requirements into scalable compensation models.
Responsibilities
  • Lead end-to-end configuration and development within the Varicent ICM platform.
  • Build and maintain Varicent data models, workflows, calculations, and compensation rules.
  • Configure compensation plans, quotas, crediting logic, and incentive structures.
  • Develop and manage ETL processes and data pipelines to ensure accurate data integration.
  • Create and publish dashboards and reports for commission insights and performance tracking.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and provide user support as needed.
  • Participate in system upgrades, enhancements, and performance optimization efforts.
  • Maintain thorough technical documentation, configuration guides, and data flow diagrams.
  • Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, and professional services.

Required Skills & Experience
  • 5+ years of experience working with Varicent ICM.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Composer, Reports Studio, and Web Admin.
  • Proven ability to translate business requirements into functional Varicent models.
  • Experience building ETL pipelines and working with SQL or similar data tools.
  • Strong understanding of compensation plan design and crediting logic.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex data issues.
