Job Description

We are looking for a Control Valve Planner to support the development of control valve work scopes, manage planning activities, and ensure efficient execution of control valve maintenance. This position will be On-Site in Port Arthur, TX.

What You ll Do

  • Assist with the development of the control valve work scope

  • Identify, scope, and produce construction work packages for execution

  • Read BOMs and identify parts needed for valve overhauls

  • Perform and lead field walks for site verification to complete control valve surveys

  • Provide leadership in risk management, contractor safety, and mitigating safety issues in operations

  • Organize materials by expediting, quoting prices, and ensuring correct parts availability for jobs

  • Create detailed planning activities in Cleopatra for each work order, including tasks, manpower, durations, and assigned discipline

  • Provide daily schedule updates during outage execution

  • Develop comprehensive job planning packages for both internal and external distribution, including pictures, P&IDs, BOMs, tools, safe work procedures, applicable standards, QC requirements, etc.

  • Communicate scope, revisions, and activity breakdowns to other groups effectively

  • Conduct formal housekeeping inspections of plant areas, upholding high housekeeping standards

What You'll Need

Required:

  • 5+ years as a Control Valve Planner

  • 5+ years of Control Valve Tech maintenance experience and/or CV maintenance planning

  • Active TWIC card

  • Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, valve specs, and location plans

  • Experience in preparing and reviewing test/work packages for field issuance

  • Proficiency in business software, including Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, OneNote, Outlook, SAP, and Primavera P6

  • Strong understanding of control valve construction, workflow processes, and quality standards as outlined by Air Products and Chemicals, Inc.

  • Ability to QA/QC work packages post-completion

  • Knowledge of Preventive Maintenance programs and translating them into work packages

Preferred:

  • Experience with Cleopatra planning templates

  • Leadership skills in risk management and contractor safety
