Vice President, Category Management - Fragrance (Luxe Division)
Division: L'Oréal Luxe
Location: 10 Hudson Yards, New York, NY (hybrid model - 3 days in office, 2 days WFH)

What You Will Do:
As the Vice President of Category Management for Fragrance, you are responsible for creating and deploying the 3-year strategy and frame for the fragrance category across all Luxe brands. Leveraging our multi-faceted portfolio, you will also manage our go-to-market execution, driving category transformation and unlocking sustainable growth in partnership with multidisciplinary teams.
By synthesizing deep consumer insights, financial rigor, and high-impact commercial strategies, you will translate multi-brand portfolios into compelling local stories, optimizing yearly activation plans to fuel outstanding market-share gains.
1. Fragrance Expert
  • Master of shopper and consumer competitive landscapes to identify whitespace and opportunities to grow
  • Proactively share insights regarding category needs, gaps, opportunities with relevant stakeholders both locally and globally
  • Define and track KPIs for success, monitoring market share and category net revenue.

2. Strategize and Frame
  • Build the long term and short term strategic plan towards our retailers for the fragrance category
  • Drive incremental market share by identifying white-space opportunities within the US fragrance category; serve as a key strategic advisor to the BUs and DMIs to co-create and prioritize innovation roadmaps.
  • Design and recommend Category Activation plans to leverage category strategies, in collaboration with business unit & CMO leadership

3. Go-To-Market Execution
  • Collaborate with the CMO team, commercial and marketing teams to adapt global strategies into compelling local retail selling stories, ensuring effective and clear go-to-market plans for growth in fragrance
  • Support sales teams to frame category joint-business-plan implementation within Customers organization
  • Build relationship of trust with top stakeholders by providing expertise on customer behavior and market trends, and co-design with them activation strategies for the fragrance category

4. Category Transformation
  • Establish and share best practices on sales activation, including assortment optimization and promotional calendars
  • Facilitate cross functional collaboration both locally and globally, providing local shopper, market, retailer and distribution insights to anticipate and drive category shifts within fragrance

Who You Are:
  • Fragrance Authority: Deep expertise and understanding of the fragrance category, with strong understanding of prestige and luxury dynamics
  • Experience with data driven decision making
  • P&L management is a must
  • Prior category vision and growth management success
  • Fragrance Marketing experience
  • Bachelor's degree required
