Warehouse Supervisor

We design and manufacture sensors for storage tanks, water metering, energy metering, gas monitoring, and asset management. Our founders are hardcore telecommunications engineers with combined 200+ years of experience in designing, optimizing and performance engineering; for several mid โ€“ large wireless carriers internationally - that saw a need to provide low power, cost efficient sensors to collect data, create alerts, and predict needed actions. We have combined these sensors with low power, wide area (LPWA) networking technologies to provide clients various options to decrease re-occurring costs associated with operating an IoT network of sensors and connected devices. We specialize in design, deployment, optimization, and support of these Networks. Whether an off-the-shelf or custom solution is needed, we'll create a solution and push the data on the best cloud platform to fit your needs, including your own.

Job Description

ยท Meet business objectives for department regarding: safety, quality productivity, responsiveness, etc. ยท Counsel/Support hourly employees with needs/concerns as required ยท Address performance behaviors; commend and reinforce those that are positives, discourage and discipline those that are negative ยท Uses Quality Network problem solving process to address opportunities within area - engage work force for ideas ยท Apply Workplace Organization (WPO) process to improve layouts and efficiency ยท Perform daily Timekeeping System (TKS) updating to ensure accurate processing of payroll data ยท Use A-3 reporting format to document problem solving activities and observe local A-3 guidelines ยท Conduct daily huddle-up meeting to communicate business performance and have two-way discussion with employees ยท Perform and document weekly safety observation tour of department ยท Plan daily work load in advance ยท Support colleagues to optimize shift performance ยท Observe contractual requirements (National & Local) ยท Enforce Shop Rules ยท Perform daily SOP audit checks ยท Advance skills through Individual Development Plan (IDP) process ยท Keep General Supervisor Shop Committee apprised of all pending activities

Qualifications

Required Skills/Experience: ยท Knowledge of manufacturing processes and procedures ยท Knowledge of basic math ยท Oral and written communications skills ยท Understand of basic technology of area where assigned ยท Knowledge of scheduling and other management systems ยท Relatively high level of analytical ability where problems are complex ยท Medium level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others, motivate employees and elicit work output ยท Knowledge of quality control procedures ยท Minimum 2 to 3 years of experience in the field Required Education/Training: ยท High School graduate or equivalent training, plus additional training such as that acquired in the first one or two years of technical or business school ยท Training in skilled trades area or equivalent technical training
