Job Summary:
The Manager, Total Rewards supports the Managing Director, Human Resources in designing, developing, implementing and administering Casey's total rewards (compensation and benefits) plans. This role ensures our programs are externally competitive, internally equitable, and fully compliant with ever-changing regulations.
Essential Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the end-to-end administration of leave of absence (LOA) programs and the interactive accommodation process, ensuring full compliance with FMLA, ADA, and state-specific regulations while delivering a supportive employee and manager experience.
  • Manages vendor relationships, benefit plan administration and contracts. Ensures plans are aligned with federal and state regulations, and plan provisions are followed. Participates in revisions and reviews of plan documents and summary plan descriptions in accordance with approved plan design changes.
  • Develops and provides benefit orientations; implements new benefit programs; arranges employee presentations; and coordinates benefits open enrollment. Develops and delivers communication tools to enhance understanding of the company's benefit package.
  • Performs internal and external competitive market pay research and analysis. Recommend salary ranges, job levels and job classification. Participates in the design/modifications, as well as administration and maintenance of all base and incentive pay programs.
  • Participates in compensation and benefit surveys to collect and analyze benchmark information to ensure company's competitive position. May develop ad hoc surveys as needed. Applies sound compensation and benefit theory in the development of competitive programs based on relevant local market surveys, competitive environment, economic trends, and local HR input to aid in recruiting and retention.
  • Provides coaching to managers and HR staff on compensation and benefit matters. Recommend corrective or alternative actions to resolve compensation and benefit related issues. Counsels on the interpretation of various compensation and benefit programs on case by case basis.
  • Provides analytical and technical support in the delivery of the rewards programs. Prepares periodic and special reports to management including benefits reports, annual headcount, and other reports assigned/requested.
  • Serves as the project manager for annual benefits plan audits. Collaborates with Finance, auditing agencies, HR members and external vendors to collect and disseminate information. Ensures proper administration and documentation of plans.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field is required, with a minimum of five years' experience administering employee total rewards plans.
  • Experience administering self-insured medical plans and defined contribution plans (e.g. 401(k) plans) are required.
  • HR certifications and/or CEBS designation preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of insurance regulations, plan design, third party record keeping, plan administration required. Familiarity and work experience with COBRA, ADA, ERISA, FMLA and related state and federal regulations.
  • Strong analytical, interpretation, and reporting skills with a problem-solving orientation as well as a high proficiency in Excel and HRIS software.
  • Ability to perform effectively in high pressure and stressful work environment. Ability to manage stress and self-care.
  • Ability to work onsite full-time to meet the collaborative responsibilities that are essential for position. Regular and reliable attendance is required.
  • Physical requirements include the ability to lift and reach for light objects; ability to type and work at a computer for extended periods of time as a primary job function.
  • Ability to protect the confidentiality of sensitive information by learning and following all relevant policies and protocols and using sound judgment in the handling and sharing of that information.
  • Local travel as well as occasional out of town travel may be required. Driving on Casey business may require use of personal vehicle; adherence to vehicle safety guidelines and qualification for insurance is require.

The typical hiring range for this position in Seattle, WA is $110,500 to $130,000. The full salary range for the role is $110,500 to $149,500. Actual placement in the range will depend on a candidate's job-related skills, experience, and expertise, as evaluated during the interview process.
Casey Family Programs offers comprehensive benefits including medical, dental and vision coverage, accrual of 12 days of annual leave, 12 days of sick leave,10 paid holidays per year, and each employee receives one personal holiday to use each calendar year. Employees that meet certain tenure qualifiers are eligible for up to eight weeks of parental leave for the birth or placement of a child for adoption or foster care. After the completion of 10 years of continuous, full-time regular employment, employees in good standing are permitted for a three-month sabbatical with pay. CFP also offers many opportunities for continued learning, training, and development.
