Site Leader โ€“ Technical Sales (Paper Chemicals Industry)
Location: Albuquerque, New Mexico (Remote)
Duration: Contract Assignment (Approx. 6โ€“7 Months, Potential Extension)
Pay Rate: $55โ€“$64/hour
Schedule: Mondayโ€“Friday, 7:00 AM โ€“ 4:00 PM (40 Hours/Week)
Start Date: ASAP
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Site Leader โ€“ Technical Sales to support a strategic account within the Packaging & Hygiene industry in the Southwest region. This role combines technical expertise, customer relationship management, project leadership, and business development to drive customer success and profitable growth.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the paper manufacturing industry and a strong background in specialty chemical applications, technical sales, and account management.ย 
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and support a local customer-focused sales and service team.
  • Manage strategic customer relationships and serve as the primary technical sales contact.
  • Develop and execute account plans to achieve sales, profitability, and growth objectives.
  • Provide on-site technical support, troubleshooting, inspections, and process optimization.
  • Oversee the design, installation, and maintenance of chemical feed and delivery systems.
  • Identify new business opportunities and expand existing customer relationships.
  • Monitor product performance and service quality while resolving customer concerns.
  • Conduct data analysis and document return-on-investment (ROI) for existing and proposed applications.
  • Prepare and deliver timely customer service reports and business updates.
  • Communicate customer requirements, project opportunities, and operational needs internally.
  • Maintain accurate sales activity, forecasting, expense reporting, and customer records.
  • Attend industry conferences, customer meetings, and company training programs.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and support project completion efforts across the assigned territory.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in:
    • Paper Science
    • Chemistry
    • Biology
    • Microbiology
    • Chemical Engineering
    • Or equivalent industry experience
  • 10โ€“15 years of experience in the paper manufacturing industry.
  • Proven technical sales and account management experience.
  • Ability to develop and execute strategic account plans.
  • Strong customer relationship-building and communication skills.
  • Experience documenting and presenting ROI analyses.
  • Proficiency with data analysis, reporting, and business planning.
  • Strong project leadership and organizational skills.

Preferred Experience
Experience with one or more of the following:
  • Paper manufacturing operations
  • Wet-end chemistry applications
  • Retention and drainage programs
  • Sizing chemistry
  • Recycled paper manufacturing
  • Specialty chemical applications within pulp and paper operations
