Job description

Tuvli is seeking a highly motivated, self-directed and experienced individual to fill the role of an IT Operations Manager for our existing government client in Alexandria, VA. To join our team of outstanding professionals, apply today! Responsibilities * Serve as the central point of contact for special projects and for 24x7 operations center. * Ensure the stable operation and efficient performance of the client's operations center, monitoring and managing all aspects of the operation to ensure they meet performance metrics set by the customer.
* Provide leadership, project and activity planning, coordination, and assist with day-to-day direction as needed to complete the assigned mission of the teams, oversee the production of required deliverables, and meet the relevant project milestones.
* Manage team leads for special projects and 24x7 operations center with teams ranging in size from 7-17 team members.
* Maintain and improve the 24/7/365 operations for Production Environment.
* Analyze teams' workload and activity to drive efficiency and focus towards meeting established metrics.
* Analyze current business practices to identify areas for process improvement and create project management templates to assist in data gathering and research. * Provide management oversight of all contract employees.
* Foster a collaborative environment within the operation.
* Work directly with the client's program manager and develop a good customer relationship.
* Recommend risk mitigation strategies.
* Manage open issues until resolutions.
* Submit monthly reports for the operations.
* Develop and maintain the staffing plan by performing recruiting and interviewing for new contract personnel as well as assist team leads/managers with implementing training/individual development plans for their contract employees.
* Provide guidance to contract employees with annual performance goals settings.
* Conduct annual performance evaluations and provide feedback to contract employees.
* Other related duties as assigned. Qualifications * A degree in the field of computer science or other IT related discipline is preferred.
* Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) is preferred.
* Ten years of technical security, operations management, and project management experience.
* Solid working knowledge of information technology, project management and operations management is preferred.
* Experience with planning, directing, and managing a complex information technology operation/ technology project deployment.
* Familiarity with ITIL or equivalent IT service management frameworks; experience operating within formal change control processes.
* Proven ability to build and sustain collaborative relationships with government clients, team members, and vendors.
* Excellent organizational skills and attention to details.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Must be able to work independently with little to no oversight..
* Security Clearance - Minimum interim DoD Secret clearance to start with eligibility to upgrade to Top Secret.
* Hybrid Work Schedule.
* Must reside within a 50-mile radius of the Washington DC Area.
