What We Need:

POSITION: Senior Director IT Operations

LOCATION: 6555 State Highway 161, Irving, TX 75039

JOB DUTIES: Oversee ITOGR governance, ensuring compliance, risk mitigation, and operational excellence through strategic leadership and continuous improvement across McKesson's IT operations. Lead IT integration efforts for M&A and divestitures, aligning service processes, knowledge, and user platforms globally. Stewardship of the Change Advisory Board (CAB), ensuring rigorous planning and testing of technology changes, and oversee Major Incident Response to protect business continuity and patient care. Enforce ITSM policies, integration roadmaps, risk mitigation, and change management plans. Align budgets with organizational goals, build strategic vendor partnerships, and conduct financial reviews. Oversee SLAs, KPIs, and service reviews; identify improvement areas through data analysis. Lead performance evaluations, succession planning, and targeted training to close skills gaps. Govern Knowledge Management strategies for high-quality documentation and operational efficiency. Oversee knowledge asset lifecycle for rapid issue resolution. Foster cross-functional collaboration, ensure accessibility, and manage Service Request frameworks for efficient fulfilment and user satisfaction. Hybrid expected in the office 3 days per week. 10% domestic and international travel required.

REQUIREMENTS: Master's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration or a related field and ten (10) years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.

Applicant must have seven (7) years of demonstrated experience in each of the following:

  • Leadership experience in IT Operations, Major Incident Management, and ITSM process optimization.
  • Enterprise Knowledge Management, with a proven track record of designing and implementing scalable strategies that improve self-service adoption / incident deflection through effective content curation and accessibility.
  • Designing / implementing enterprise Service Request Models that optimize workflows, enhance user experience, and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Leading IT operational integration during large scale M&A transactions, including post-merger harmonization of service management processes, knowledge bases, and user experience platforms across global business units.
  • Leading Major Incident Management, coordinating cross-functional teams to ensure rapid resolution of critical IT disruptions and maintain business continuity.
  • Managing complex changes, mitigating risks, and delivering results in dynamic, high-pressure environments.
  • Understanding of IT governance, regulatory compliance, and audit management.
  • Financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
  • Vendor management, contract negotiation, and SLA/KPI development.

  • Leveraging AI capabilities to support decision-making, reduce manual effort, and drive continuous improvement across IT operations.
