About the Role
We are seeking a Corporate Tax Manager (Provision) to join our Corporate Tax Solutions Family. In this role, you will oversee business income tax planning, corporate compliance, and ASC 740 income tax accounting (including tax provision preparation and audit support). You'll serve as the primary tax relationship manager for multiple clients, while collaborating with colleagues across service lines and our Washington National Tax Office (WNTO).
This is a high-impact role where you'll gain exposure to diverse industries, lead client engagements, and mentor staff-all while enjoying a collaborative and flexible work environment that supports professional growth and career advancement.
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage client engagements from planning through completion, ensuring delivery within scope, budget, and deadlines.
  • Lead, mentor, and supervise senior associates, associates, and interns, providing coaching, training, and performance feedback.
  • Review corporate income tax returns and recommend opportunities for accuracy, compliance, and tax savings.
  • Conduct primary review of ASC 740 income tax provision engagements.
  • Research and advise on complex tax issues, ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP and federal/state/local corporate tax laws.
  • Collaborate across teams to address client tax matters, including state and local taxation, international activity, and transfer pricing.
  • Support business development by identifying opportunities to expand services with existing or potential clients.
  • Respond to inquiries from the IRS, state, and local tax authorities.
  • Build strong client relationships, understanding their operations and business objectives.
  • Attend regular professional development and training sessions to stay current on tax laws and industry practices.
Required Qualifications (Non-Negotiables)
  • CPA license required (active).
  • Tax Provision / ASC 740 experience required.
  • Must be located in Cincinnati, OH, or willing to relocate; hybrid work required (minimum 2 days in-office per week).
  • Must have experience working in a Top 15 accounting firm in recent years.
Preferred / Nice-to-Have Qualifications
  • Public accounting or professional services background.
  • Experience with ONESOURCE Tax Provision software.
  • Stable work history (no frequent job changes of 1-2 years).
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, corporate income tax laws, and multi-jurisdictional tax compliance.
  • Experience with state/local income tax, international taxation, and transfer pricing.
