CGR has successful business partnerships with DHL, OpenAI, PNC Bank, Root Insurance, SOLO Cup, Sunoco, and more. The team boasts state-of-the-art facilities in Indianapolis, where the INDYCAR and INDY NXT teams are located, and a corporate office in Pittsburgh.
We are looking for an experienced Business Development Director responsible for contracting new business revenue from partners, adding to the CGR portfolio.
  • Fuel the organization's success by generating significant bespoke partnerships that benefit partners' business goals.
  • Secure meetings with senior-level decision makers incorporating a clear understanding of the prospect's marketing and business objectives
  • Show your resourcefulness and persistence through the research of new B2B and B2C leads and subsequent outreach and follow-up.
  • Represent CGR professionally and with integrity in all interactions.
  • Work effectively as part of a team in pursuit of revenue goals.
  • Exhibit consistency and resilience in maintaining call and meeting activity required in a low-volume deal environment.
  • Work comfortably with technology in the performance of the job, logging activity, and communication with prospective clients.
  • Willing to work in live entertainment, where the hours can include evenings, weekends, and occasional travel.

To be successful in this role, you'll need:
  • Bachelor's degree in business or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ years' sales experience with a preference for rights holders or in major league sports/leagues.
  • Proven track record of success working within strategic partnership sales delegates sales and/or account management-based sales.
  • Strong business acumen and commercial awareness.
  • Proven ability to generate new business leads from cold calling, personal research, and industry networking.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly motivated, ambitious, and constantly striving for excellence and success.
  • Results-oriented. Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Highly resourceful team player with the ability to also be extremely effective independently.
  • Demonstrated professional, positive, and approachable attitude/demeanor.
  • Previous Use of Salesforce or other CRM systems.
