About Renewed Outdoors

Renewed Outdoors is a growing, locally owned landscape supply company serving homeowners, landscapers, contractors, and businesses throughout Northwest Ohio. We provide mulch, soil, stone, outdoor products, delivery services, and installation solutions.

As we continue to grow, we are looking for a hands-on Store Operations Manager to lead our store team, manage inventory, improve processes, and create an excellent customer experience across our locations.

The Role

The Store Operations Manager oversees the daily operations of our two store locations. This position leads a small, close-knit team of Store Associates and Assistant Store Managers while owning store operations, inventory management, personnel, and customer experience.

This is a working leadership role. Our managers lead by example and work alongside their team - whether that means helping customers, assisting with daily tasks, operating equipment, organizing products, or stepping in wherever needed.

The right person enjoys leading people, improving processes, creating structure, and taking ownership of their department.

Responsibilities:

Leadership & Store Operations

  • Lead, coach, and develop Store Associates and Assistant Store Managers

  • Oversee daily operations across multiple store locations

  • Create employee schedules and manage personnel needs

  • Support hiring, onboarding, training, and employee development

  • Maintain accountability, communication, and teamwork within the department

  • Ensure store procedures and processes are followed consistently

  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and customer experience

  • Assist with daily store tasks as needed, including customer service, POS, stocking, loading, and product organization

Inventory & Purchasing Management

  • Own store inventory accuracy, organization, and product availability

  • Monitor inventory levels and plan for seasonal product demands

  • Manage ordering needs and purchasing recommendations

  • Help establish and maintain inventory budgets

  • Make decisions to ensure proper stock levels while controlling costs

  • Coordinate receiving, stocking, product placement, and inventory processes

  • Review product performance and recommend improvements

  • Work with leadership on pricing, vendor relationships, and inventory planning

Customer Experience

  • Ensure excellent customer service for homeowners, contractors, and business customers

  • Help customers with product questions and recommendations

  • Resolve customer concerns professionally

  • Support order accuracy, delivery coordination, and installation scheduling

  • Ensure store locations remain clean, organized, and customer-ready

Team Support & Equipment

  • Maintain a team-first environment where everyone helps where needed

  • Assist with outdoor operations during busy periods

  • Safely operate or learn equipment, such as forklifts and loaders

  • Help with product movement and customer loading when needed

  • Work closely with Yard, Delivery, Sales, Marketing, and Operations teams


Qualifications:
  • Previous management, supervisor, retail, customer service, or operations leadership experience preferred

  • Experience leading employees and building a strong team

  • Inventory management, purchasing, or ordering experience preferred

  • Strong organization and problem-solving skills

  • Comfortable using computers and learning business systems

  • Ability to balance leadership responsibilities while remaining hands-on

  • Willingness to operate or learn equipment, such as forklifts/loaders

  • Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors as needed

  • Positive attitude with a team-first mindset

  • Landscape, contractor supply, construction, agriculture, equipment, or similar experience is a plus

Work Environment

This position includes a combination of office, store, and outdoor work environments.

Candidates should be comfortable with:

  • Working both indoors and outdoors as business needs require

  • Working in various seasonal weather conditions

  • Being around landscape materials, equipment, dust, and outdoor product areas

  • Standing, walking, and staying active throughout the day

  • Regularly lifting products weighing 25–50 lbs

  • Supporting the team wherever needed
