Job description

Level II Technician - This role is a mid-level Automotive Technician. This Technician may work independently or in a team environment.
Specific Responsibilities for all Technicians include:
  • Performs Preventive Maintenance: change oil, oil filter, fuel filter, transmission flush, and inspection of the vehicle for mechanical deficiencies.
  • Based upon certification levels, performs various repairs and maintenance which may include: OBD II systems, brake components, tires, tune-ups, suspension components, aerial lifts, electrical systems, State Safety Inspections, interior/exterior components, engine and drive line components, etc.
  • Maintains/repairs shop equipment.
  • Keeps shop area clean and tidy. Perform work in accordance with safety standards. Dispose of all fluids in a safe manner and in accordance with all regulations.
  • Creates and maintains vehicle history and maintenance records. May up fit new vehicles with the necessary equipment.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by management.

Additional Responsibilities for Level II & III include
  • Responsibilities as outlined above for all technicians.
  • Performs light to major repairs.
  • Performs advanced vehicle diagnostics.
  • Assures prompt repairs by interfacing and coordinating with vendors for parts and repairs.
  • Provides roadside assistance as needed.
  • Uses custom equipment when needed in order to complete moderate design/fabrication tasks including welding.
  • Assures maintenance of specialized trucks by troubleshooting and repairing complex hydraulic systems, generators and electrical systems, hybrids, and onboard computer systems.
  • Responsible for direct interaction with customers and displays exceptional interpersonal skills while driving service center's performance with the highest integrity and trust.
  • Responsible for the efficient diagnosis, repair, and replacement of general automotive parts and accessories.
  • Conduct a wide variety of diagnoses and repairs; including but not limited to brakes, drivability, emissions, steering/suspension, electrical, state safety and emissions testing, maintenance services, HVAC, major engine and hydraulics

YDGCOX
USD 22.02 - 33.08 per hour
Compensation:
Hourly pay rate is in the range of $22.02 - $33.08/hour. The hourly base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.) and/or an incentive program.
Benefits:
Employees are eligible to receive a minimum of sixteen hours of paid time off every month and seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year. Employees are also eligible for additional paid time off in the form of bereavement leave, time off to vote, jury duty leave, volunteer time off, military leave, and parental leave.
